Essay

The main stages of the graphic art of Zakarpattia (Transcarpathian region) in the second half of the 20th century are considered. The author dwells on the creative work of the artists who had the greatest influence on the development of this art in the region and also introduced changes into stylistics. The history of the graphic art of Transcarpathian region illustrates relations between the system that took its origin in European modern tradition and the aesthetics of socialist realism.
