Object - the process of reflection of the acquired pedagogical experience in the periodicals of the second part of XIX - early XX century; the aim - to systematize the theoretical issues and generalize the acquired pedagogical experience discussed in the periodicals of the second part of XIX - early XX century in order to creatively implement the acquired achievements in present day teaching; methods - historical-structural, historical-genetic, historical-chronological, problem-oriented, prognostic; novelty - the research is the first to determine and characterize the role of periodicals in the reflection of pedagogical findings of the period under research; the stages of pedagogical findings reflection in the periodicals are analysed and determined; the spheres of pedagogical findings reflection in periodicals are generalized, their content is characterized; the ideas for the creative implementation of the results of the research in present day schools are singled out: attraction of attention to the acquired experience and its presentation; implementation of progressive ideas dealing with interaction experience within the triad of "state- society- school" and involvement of wide public in solving the problems of schoolgoers' education and training; the elements that facilitated the development of pedagogical periodicals are specified ; results - the materials of the research enrich History of Pedagogy as a science with the conclusions concerning the evolution of the term "pedagogical experience" understanding, its criteria, functions, content and forms, its study, implementation, dissemination and the role of periodicals in its reflection at every of the researched stages. The materials and conclusions of the research will be helpful for working out and teaching ordinary and IT courses on Pedagogy, History of Pedagogy, additional specialized courses at educational establishments of III-IV levels of accreditation, at professional development courses for teachers as well as for writing course and Master degree papers; field - pedagogy.
