This research is focuses on therapeutic efficacy of an original coordination compound of germanium Сerebrogerm in conditions of a closed head injury. Pharmacotherapeutic efficiency of Сerebrogerm based on capacity to ensure the functioning of protective and compensatory mechanisms and especially antioxidant system aimed at reducing the overproduction of endotoxins, "discontinuation" of free radical chain reactions, correction of imbalances in the energy and carbohydrate metabolism. The study of the pharmacokinetics of Сerebrogerm in "normal" and on the model of the closed brain injury proved that the kinetics of Сerebrogerm modifies at all stages of its passage in the organism. This is reflected in an increase in the rate of constant of absorption while reducing the half-absorption period of Сerebrogerm under conditions of traumatic brain injury, as well as increasing the half-elimination period and reducing the elimination rate constant.
