In the thesis the problem of patriotic education by means of pupil's art education of rural teaching and educational complexes "Preschool educational establishment - general secondary educational establishment "was investigated. Theoretical basis of patriotic education by means of art of 5-7 years old children in conditions of rural teaching and educational complexes were overviewed and grounded. The concept of "patriotic education by means of art" as a dynamic process of person's identity as a subject of artistic activity, aimed at forming an integrated system of patriotic values, emotional and positive attitude to the Motherland, awareness of personal responsibility to the close people in the life-creative self realization in the sphere of folk art heritage of Ukrainian people. The peculiarities of the educational art potential in the patriotic education of pupils in rural teaching and educational complexes were made clear. It was determined that rural teaching and educational complexes "Preschool educational establishment - secondary educational institution" is an example of Ukrainian national school, based on the following: the deep moral order, high social and cultural potential of villages, traditions and customs, spiritual values, harmonious coexistence with nature, close connection with parents and the community and carry out effective educational impact on the pupil's development of the conscious sense of patriotism and a deep understanding of citizenship, a sense of unity with his people, sense the heir of the cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people. On the basis of the theoretical analysis the problem the criteria and indicators were defined and the levels of patriotic education of 5-7 years old children were characterized. In the process of investigation it was referred the following criteria: cognitive - learning of state symbols of Ukraine, traditions, customs, rituals, cultural monuments, native land artists heritage, fine arts, dance and music folk art; awareness yourself as a full member of the family, resident and owner of your village; emotional value - value attitude to the Motherland, the nature of his native land, love to the parents, a sense of pride for their family, people, positive emotional attitude to folk music, dance and fine arts; action-behavioral - participation in public, charitual activities for the benefit of his native land, individual and collective creative activities in learning artistic heritage of his people. It was defined three levels of patriotic education of 5-7 years old children: high, medium and low. The model of patriotic education by means of pupil's art education of rural teaching and educational complexes was worked out and approbated. The above mentioned model reflects the subjects of educational interaction, pedagogical conditions, the basic principles of educational interaction (national orientation, humanization of the educational process, comprehensiveness, continuity and perspective, cultural correspondence, life-creative self-activity) periods of the patriotic education by means of art formation, types of work, criteria, levels and projected results It was theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested pedagogical conditions of patriotic education. by means of pupil's art education of rural teaching and educational complexes. "Preschool educational establishment - general secondary educational establishment": improving the professional competence of pedagogs of rural teaching and educational complexes; the establishment in rural teaching and educational complexes up-bringing environment based on the national cultural heritage; activation of interaction of teachers and family in attraction children to the joint artistic and patriotic activities. The improvement professional and art competence of teachers of rural teaching and educational complexes was carried out in the process of educational seminars, debates, workshops, business games, educational lectures, exercises, games, creative workshops for the manufacture of toys, manufactured objects from different art materials and techniques; developing musical and choreographic sketches, performances, compositions. Creation in the rural teaching and educational complexes educational environment based on the people's cultural heritage was provided by equipment shelters, ethnology rooms, children's museums, art studios for classes in fine arts, music and choreography. The activization of interaction between teachers and family in attraction children to the joint artistic and patriotic activities is realized by conducting lectures, conferences, discussions, training sessions, artistic performances, cafes, ethnoparades, maydances, flash mobes. Project activities were defined as effective in patriotic education. According to the results of the forming stage of the experiment positive changes in the levels of patriotic education of rural children educational systems were revealed.
