Essay

The thesis is devoted to an actual problem of formation at the primary school pupils the value care about the other person in extra-curricular educational activities. The condition of the problem describing in educational theory and extra-curricular educational activities is found. The discussed problem allowed us to uncover and characterize such pedagogical approaches, as: axiological, personally oriented, value-generating and people-measuring which are aimed to develop the value of care about the other person at primary school pupils. The essence of the leading concepts "care", "guardianship", "care about the other person" in philosophy, psychology, pedagogy as part of the conceptual and terminological paradigm is actualized, which confirms their relevance and importance, both for the individual and for society as a whole. The concept "formation of care value about the other person at the basic school pupils" is defined - as systemic activity of educational work subjects, based on a single basic phenomenon - human existence, which is directed to the acquisition of the individual's own sense of belonging to the existence of another person through acts of care, love, kindness, and provides them with a manifestation through action-care and helping behavior. The structural components of the concept "formation of care value about the other person at the basic school pupils" are identified (cognitive, emotional and evaluative and behavioral-active), which provided an opportunity for young people in the most committed of meritorious deeds to show a high formation level of the designated value in our study. The criteria are identified (the understanding of the care about the other person nature and its value to society, ability for emotions empathy and feelings of the other person's and helping behavior), indicators and the formation levels at pupils of primary school care values about the other person are characterized. It is tested and proved that the developed criteria and indicators allow defining the formation levels of basic school pupils values in care about the other person (high, medium and low). The ascertaining experiment set, that at a high level the care value of another person was formed in 15,80% of the surveyed pupils of the basic school in the experimental group and 15,26% of the respondents of the control group of pupils; the medium level had 45,84% and 45,37% of the surveyed pupils of experimental and control groups; 38,36% of the experimental respondents and 39,37% of the control group respondents had a low level. This is due to a low motivation of primary school pupils to inner growth and weak theoretical awareness about the nature of values. Pedagogical conditions of solving the problem of care value formation at the basic school pupils about the other person in extra-curricular educational activities are theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested: the development of basic school pupils needs to care about the other person during extracurricular educational work; the distribution and introduction of care value about the other person in the social knowledge of primary school pupils; the enriching of care experience about the other person at pupils of primary schools through the implementation of helping actions in care actions. The implementation of pedagogical conditions was carried out by introducing of training sessions system with pupils ("Introduction to care-action", "The feeling of another", "Hasty steps", "An ambulance"); interviews with teachers, parents, headmasters; the role-playing games are developed ("To melt the icy shell of relations", "On the stairs to the kindness", "The act for Sherlock Holmes", "Helping behavior in journey with obstacles"), aimed at the developing of practical skills on the helping behavior; in accordance with the interests of younger and older adolescents an extra-curricular educational work is organized. The pedagogical experiment showed that through the introduction of pedagogical conditions, the positive dynamics of the pupils participation in various kinds of social activities, manifestations of helping behavior in the family, school, reference groups, etc. is found. The results of the formative phase show that in the experimental groups compared with the results of ascertaining stage of the experiment the indicators of formation have improved significantly in the experimental stage of the primary school pupils the care value of the another person: a high level - at 23,85%; medium - 1,25%; on the lower level were 13,39% versus 38,49% at the beginning of the formative study phase. After the forming phase of the study in the experimental groups, the pupils' attitudes to the people who surround them had improved, the desire to commit care-acts had intensified; their social knowledge level of the care value, the ability to manifestations of care, reflecting on their own moral activity had increased. The quantitative and qualitative indicators which are presented in the results of the experiment on introduction of our pedagogical conditions testify the effectiveness of their content, forms and methods used in the work, and the necessity for their usage during the extracurricular educational work. The results of the study suggest that the goal is reached, the hypothesis is confirmed, and the tasks have been solved. The study does not cover all aspects of theoretical and practical search for solutions of the concerned problem. The questions, related to the development processes of primary school pupils helping behavior, remain relevant and require further study. The prospects for further studies may also be longitudinal studies of changes in the formation level of care values about the other person in high school pupils.
