The dissertation work is concerned with the experimental substantiation of combined use of glucosamine with ketoprofen in topical dosage forms to optimize medical therapy for osteoarthritis. The comparative study was performed that optimal ratio of glucosamine hydrochloride and ketoprofen 2.5:1 in topical dosage form of a cream-gel. It was causing high analgesic, protective, antiexudative and moderate antiproliferative activity, allowing a balanced to influence on inflammatory processes. Chondroprotective properties of the combination was studied at the model of systemic steroid arthritis in rats and proved a positive influence on the content of biochemical markers of connective tissue and histological structure and ultrastructure of articular cartilage tissue.
