The thesis fully and systematically analyzes Helen Pankhurst's pedagogical heritage in the context of the US pedagogics. The time frame embraces the first half of the twentieth century. We summarize her experience in scientific and educational activities, in particular her work as a developer of the individualized learning method - "Dalton Plan". Based on thorough analysis of Helen Pankhurst's works we reveal the content and principles for building an individualized learning system according to Dalton Plan; define the peculiarities of didactic and organizational principles of students' educational activities within its methodology.
