Essay

The purpose of research - reducing costs related to unproductive downtime of the freight locomotives, crews, trains at the technical stations by improving a planning system of the locomotive park work. The object of research - the process of exploitation of the freight locomotives. The research subject - the relationship between the organization and operation system of the locomotive park and the performance indicators of the freight traffic at the directions. The stated scientific problem was solved with the application of the modern mathematical apparatus. Scientific novelty: for the first time the task of developing an operational work plan of the locomotive park was formalized and solved as a multicriterial assignment problem; was improved a method of forecasting the duration of freight trains' movement at the railway directions based on the use of such neural network as perceptron; was improved the simulation model of the technical station functioning through the development of the locomotive depot model; was improved locomotive crews work planning procedure. To calculate the operational plan of the locomotives and crews work was designed the adaptive mathematical model of the operational management of the locomotive park work, which consists of the forecast model of the train work at the direction and the calculation module. The development of the operational plans of the locomotive park work was reduced to the problem about multicriterial assignment, which enabled to take into account the characteristics of trains, locomotives and crews. The results were used for DNURT scientific research and educational process.
