Essay

The dissertation presents a comprehensive study of interview as a type of text, it's linguocultural and functional specific features if used in mass cultural discourse, and highlights the typical problems, issues, strategies and key means while translating such an interview into Russian language for Russian and Ukrainian reader. Integrative approach and comprehensive practical methods enable interpreting interview as a verbal realization of the communication of an interviewer and interviewee. Within the framework of the research, the invariant/divergent textual features of this text type were denoted. The first of them is dialogism, which determines a text to be an interview even in case if the classical text form of a dialogue, general for the classical interview, is not preserved. The other feature common for the interview is its stable composition structure, which includes introductive, main and final parts. On the other hand, actualization in the mass cultural discourse causes an appearance of specific features such as stylistic peculiarities and doubling of the content scheme, embracing two basic topics: portrait of an interviewee and the subject of his communication with an interviewer. Key words: translation, interview, type of text, mass cultural discourse, pragmatic function, linguocultural specific features, adequacy, adaptation.
