Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the investigation of nephrotropic properties of the organospecific peptides (peptide kidney complex, synthetic renal peptides AED, EDL and pineal peptide AEDG) with comparative analysis of their nephroprotective activity under the conditions of acute kidney injury of different etiology and determining of their influence on the main pathogenetic mechanisms of pathology development. The most significant nephroprotective efficacy of peptide EDL (3?g/kg) is established under the conditions of gentamycin nephropathy, rhabdomyolytic and ischemia-reperfusion acute kidney injury, and consists in an increase of diuresis and glomerular filtration rate, decrease of azotemia, proteinuria and fractional sodium excretion correlating with the positive dynamics of histopathologic finding. An advantage of nephroprotective influence of peptide AEDG (7?g/kg) is demonstrated under the conditions of cisplatin-induced kidney injury. It is established that nephroprotective effect of organospecific peptides under the conditions of acute kidney injury of different etiology is mediated by their antioxidant action, amelioration of energy supply, fibrinolytic and proteolytic activity of kidney tissue as well as by the restoration of renal mechanisms of autoregulation.
