Object of research is the educational environment at an higher educational institution. The thesis deals with a theoretical and experimental research into the problem of developing students' health culture in the educational environment at an institution of higher education.The thesis defines the essence and structural components of students' health culture; emphasizes the role and functions of the educational environment at an institution of higher education in the development of students' health culture; specifies criteria, indicators and levels of the factors mentioned; provides theoretical grounds for pedagogical conditions of developing students' health culture and verifies them experimentally. These conditions provide for students' professional training health-saving orientation; acquisition of health-saving knowledge, technologies and skills to develop individual health systems; implementation of a comprehensive program of students' health culture development in the educational environment at an institution of higher education.
