The problem of understanding and evaluating organizational and pedagogical innovations of C.W. Eliot is analyzed in the thesis. The main content and direction of the educator's organizational and pedagogical concepts are examined. The level of the depth of the question studied in the scientific and educational literature is revealed, extrapedagogical reasons of C. W. Eliot's formation of organizational and pedagogical concepts are singled out; pedagogical views and researcher's outlook are characterized and the main stages of the scientist's activity are analyzed.
