Essay

The object of study: the process of social development in the health-resort sector. Objective: studying the theoretical and methodological foundations and tools for effective use of spa potential of the region and developing of recommendations for the implementation of economic mechanisms of sustainable social development in the health-resort sector. Methods: theoretical generalization, comparison, systematization, system, analysis and synthesis, economic and statistical analysis and graphics, expert evaluations, SWOT-analysis, groupings, induction and deduction. The novelty: for the first time reasonably comprehensive organizational and economic model of formation, mutual coordination and implementing of strategic mechanisms of social development in the health-resort sector, improved meaningful load for category “expertise of spa areas”, scientific and methodological basis of the examination carrying out for spa areas, scientific and methodological approach to the grounding of rationale and effectiveness of the formation of regional spa clusters, algorithm and methodology for assessing of cluster potential (based on integrated indicators of cluster potential). Scope of application: in the activities of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration for developing the strategy of social development, improving the competitiveness of the region, improving the quality of life of population, tourism enterprises LLC “Golden Hill” in the formation of strategic plans and the organization of the company activities, in the educational process of Uzhgorod Trade and Economic Institute of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics at teaching of subjects “Labor Economics and Labor Relations”, “Management”, “Personal Management”.
