The analysis of psychological and educational literature on economic education and socialization of preschool children are presented. The essence of the key concept of the study: «senior preschool children’s economic education» The essence of phenomena «economic education of the child under school age» and «kindergarten interaction with the family in the economic education of preschool children» are scientifically proved. The phenomena «economic education of the child under school age» is understood as the process of learning basic economic concepts by preschool children with availability to catch main notions aspect, development of skills of rational consumer focused on saving attitudes towards their own and public resources, the formation of social and economic behavior necessary for successful economic activity. «Kindergarten interaction with the family in the economic education of preschool children» is a joint activity of responsible adults, aimed at introducing children to the economic environment for learning available to their age elementary economic concepts, the formation of moral sentiments and moral-economic qualities required for successful economic activity, of interest in the economic sphere of life, the skills of social and economic behavior and gaining of primary experience of basic economic relations). The criteria and levels of economic education of senior preschool children are distinguished, such criteria as cognitive, assessment and activity, the appropriate levels are as follows: sufficient, medium, low. The indicators of the cognitive criteria identified: children knowledge of economic concepts («family budget» (income and expenditure), «money», «price», «currency of different countries», «advertising» and others); imagination of primary human needs (food, water, shelter, security, etc.) and child’s personal needs of basic resources, their limitations and the adults work and job. The assessment criteria is indicated by the existence of children’s interest to the economic sphere of life; the ability to navigate the world of goods through advertising; detection rate thrift, responsibility, efficiency and entrepreneurship; attitude towards natural resources, items, goods, products of human labor. The activity-criterion is as follows: the ability to determine the immediate needs of their families; compare and evaluate the products (quality, price) «to explain the results of the work of people of different professions; use the acquired knowledge in the economic game, labor, productive activity; behavior in relation to money. Pedagogical conditions of economic education of preschool children in kindergarten interaction and families are theoretically and experimentally tested, they include: the development of methods acquaint preschool children with elementary economic concepts; enriching the primary economic experience of senior preschool children; parents mastering of necessary knowledge, skills and practice of children economic education in the family.
