Essay

The dissertation deals with the Specifics of the sexual cycle of doe-rabbits and fertilization peculiarities of buck-rabbits under the artificial insemination. It was ascertain that studying of impression smears from the vagina of doerabbit enables identification the stage of sexual cycle and defines the dynamics of cell’s of integumentary epithelium of vagina. It was proved that substantial differences in the microscopic structure of uterus and ovaries can be registered only during the estruation phase namely in an ovary (active afterripening of follicles, appearance of abundance of atretic follicles and white bodies), in a uterus (mucus hypersecretion with repletion of uterine glands and hyperaemia of uterine vessels). It was ascertain that obtaining of sperm from rabbits during five consecutive days leads to their sexual exhausting and decreases the quality and quantity of sperm regardless of the age of an animal. Sperm quality depends on the regimen of sexual usage of rabbits. It was discovered that the lifespan of the sperm of the rabbits outside the body depends on the environment, which is used for dilution of semen. Comparative analysis of the results which were obtained during the research, points to some differences in the degree of the action of solvent agents on the activity of sperm of rabbits, which is related to the different composition of each environment. Fluctuations in the activity of spermatozoa in diluted semen depend on the pH of a solvent. It was proved that spermatozoa stayed active while dilution with «MAS-1» medium for 48 hours. The solvent «MAS-1» is effective for artificial insemination both for artificially stimulated and unstimulated doe-rabbits. Taking into consideration the results of the research we can assert that the sperm solvent «MAS-1» is almost as effective as solvent «Galap» (IMV Technologies) and it can be used for artificial insemination of rabbits.
