Proskurina L. The Terminological Subsystem «Aircraft Repair» in the Russian Language: Linguistic and Cognitive Aspects

Object: the segment of the subsystem of aviation terminology "Aircraft repair" in the Russian language. Objective: complex research of the subsystem "Aircraft repair" and its systemic and cognitive aspects. Methods: semantic, structural, descriptive; distributive analysis, cognitive methods (frame method, analysis of conceptual metaphor). Scientific novelty: for the first time the terminological subsystem of "Aircraft repair" in the Russian language has been investigated; the functional-semantic stratification of terms was conducted, the features of semantic options in terminology were traced, the level of its syntactic flexibility, the role of derivational processes in the formation of conceptual structure and development trends of complex term systems were described; a metaphorical professional picture of the world, the concepts of "episode" and "microscenario" in dynamic frame were introduced. Practical value: the material can be used for reference books, terminological minima, dictionaries, that contributes to systematization, unification of terminology; materials of the thesis can be used to create lectures and tutorials on aircraft repair.
