Essay

The thesis is dedicated to an experimental substantiation of an expediency of a development of antimicrobial drugs with water dispersions of copper containing nanoparticles – zero-valent copper nanoparticles and the conjugate of zero-valent copper nanoparticles with ceftriaxone – for a treatment of infectious processes of different localization and etiology. An antimicrobial action of the studied compounds on standard test-strains and clinical isolates of multidrug resistance microorganisms was studied in vitro. Median lethal doses and biological targets of water dispersions of copper containing nanoparticles were showed in acute toxicity tests. An absence of their influence on hemodynamics in rabbits and serum biochemical indices in mice after an intravenous administration was found. An efficacy and safety of copper containing nanoparticles after an intravenous administration to rats in a model of polymicrobial primary bloodstream infection were proved. A pharmacological action of zero-valent copper nanoparticles after a topical use in rats with skin and soft tissue abscesses was showed.
