Ali S. Traditions of family upbringing in Ukraine

The thesis analyzes philosophical, psychological, educational, ethnographic, literary traditions on family upbringing in Ukraine, the essence of the phenomenon "tradition of family upbringing." The sources of study the traditions of family upbringing in Ukraine were identified and analyzed. The structure of the category of "tradition of family upbringing in Ukraine" in the unity of its spiritual values, national and substantive, procedural and regulatory components was grounded. The spiritual foundation that is embedded in the tradition of family upbringing in Ukraine was revealed; the spiritual and valuable trend and national substantive content were disclosed; the types of traditional methods of family upbringing in Ukraine according to various criteria (by means of educational influence, the functional orientation associated with sexual features of pupils, the type of reaction adult actions and behavior of children) were defined; the traditional socio-psychological conditions (factors) of the effectiveness of family education in Ukrainian family were found.
