Sutulina L. Metaphorical Model Real – Unreal in Narrative Structure of Spanish Memoir Novels of 20th–21th Centuries

The thesis offers a new integrated approach to the study of linguistic and cognitive mechanisms constructing the metaphorical model Real – Unreal in narrative structure of the Spanish memoir novels of the 20th–21th centuries. The definition of notions metaphorical model and metaphorical submodel has been clarified as conceptual meaning generators in the narrative structure of literary works. The complex methodology used to analyse linguistic and cognitive mechanisms constructing metaphorical model Real – Unreal in narrative structure of the Spanish memoir novels of the 20th–21th centuries has been applied. The means actualising the feature characteristics of metaphorical submodels through the attributive, relative and contrastive mapping have been established. The mechanisms transforming contextual characteristics of the metaphorical submodels through the intertextual and situational mapping have been revealed. The metaphorical submodels constructed in the process of the linguistic and cognitive mapping operations in narrative structure of the Spanish memoir novels of the 20th–21th centuries have been visualised.
