Pidchenko V. Experimental justification of immunomodulating activity and safety of biomass powder of fungus Ganoderma lucidum (Curt.:Fr.) P.Karst.

The thesis of Pidchenko V.T. is devoted to the experimental justification of reasonability of creating an effective and safety medicinal product with immunomodulatory effect based on biomass powder (BP) of fungus Ganoderma lucidum, obtained by cultivation on a liquid culture medium. In an experimental model of secondary immunodeficiency was found the immunomodulatory activity of BP of fungus Ganoderma lucidum, obtained by cultivation on glucose-peptone culture medium supplemented with yeast extract, characterized by the restoration of humoral and cellular immune responses and nonspecific immune factors and cyto-morphological parameters of lymphoid organs. It was established that by the LD50 value under intragastric administration BP of fungus Ganoderma lucidum belongs to substances of IV class of toxicity – substances of low toxicity. The most effective dose of BP of fungus Ganoderma lucidum was found – 0,5 mg/kg, the introduction of which leads to increase of the activity both humoral and cellular immune responses in intact animals.
