Kovrovskii Y. Psychological factors of occupational burnout among staff of Operational Rescue Service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The thesis deals with the psychological factors of occupational burnout among staff of the Operational Rescue Service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU). The work contains theoretical substantiation, methodology and results of empirical research of the problem. The author examines the concept of 'burnout' and the basic approaches to its study as well as discusses the features of the professional activities of staff of the Operational Rescue Service of the SESU that may lead to rescuers burnout. It has been found that two-thirds of the respondents have been shown to have the stages of burnout (tension, resistance, exhaustion) fully developed or in the process of development, with the stage of resistance prevailing. The levels of burnout among staff of the Operational Rescue Service of the SESU have been found to be caused by the following factors: staff's personal characteristics, organizational-professional characteristics, socio-demographic characteristics and socio-economic characteristics. The author analyzes the basic conditions for prevention and overcoming of burnout among staff of Operational Rescue Service of the SESU and presents a special training course 'Prevention and overcoming of burnout among staff of the Operational Rescue Service of the SESU.' Results of investigations confirm the hypothesis, which was made at the beginning of the investigations.
