Essay

Object: the international situation as a background and set of factors to form relationships of Galician princes and members of the ruling in the Byzantine Empire dynasties of Comneni and the first Angels. Objective: to delineate the boundaries of the Byzantine-Galician interactions in middle - the second half of the twelfth century. and to consider them together contemporary international relations. Methods: induction, deduction, analysis, synthesis, classification, summarization, chronological, problematic, source studies, comparative history, prosopography. Results: for the first time considered separately Galician principality role in foreign relations of Byzantium, asked about the conditions of the Byzantium coalition on the brink in 40-50 years of XII centuries and belonging thereto Galician principality put forward a new hypothesis about the motives and course of Galician-Byzantine relations, based on careful analysis of Byzantine narratives see specific content titles and characteristics that Romans endowed Galician princes used the latest research on the Russian-Byzantine and international relations involved Hungarian, Arabic, Bulgarian sources that had not been used together to study the mysterious and controversial issues of international relations, improved topic approaches that prevailed in the historiography of investigation of Byzantine-Ruthenian relations in the twelfth century, set of views on the idea of Romans Galician principality and its role in the Byzantine Commonwealth of Nations, Galician princes policy vision on the Lower Danube. Scope: within courses on Ukraine's history, the history of Byzantium, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and international relations in Eastern Europe, synthetic reviews issues, monographic studies of relevant aspects of the history of Ukraine, Byzantium and others involved in those events in Central and Eastern Europe, many peoples of southern Ukraine in that time.
