Generalization of the theoretical information and development of the practical ways in solving the problem of the student youth's social health formation in the extra-curricular activity at a higher educational establishment are propounded in the thesis. On the basis of the scientific literature analysis the state of the present day studies of the student youth's social health formation in the educational theory and practice is cleared out. The basic notions of the research: "health", "social health", "student's social health", "the technology of the student youth's social health formation in the extra-curricular activity at a higher educational establishment" are specified and externalized. The structure of the student youth's social health which includes cognitive, motivational-necessitating, emotional-volitional, reflexive and operational-behavioral components are outlined and given the grounds; their criteria and indices are defined; high, medium and low levels of its formation are characterized. Structural-functional model of the technology in forming student youth's social health based on the defined structure, approaches and principles is put forward. The essence of forming student youth's social health in the extra-curricular activity at a higher educational establishment is pointed out; the technology of its formation is worked out and approved. This technology has three stages: stimulating-motivational, meaningful-processing and analytical-corrective. The essence of forming student youth's social health in the extra-curricular activity at a higher educational establishment is defined as a description of a planned pedagogical activity based on the rules of teaching, upbringing and personal development, providing predictable results and having three stages: - stimulating-motivational - includes informing students of the Student Club "Compass" and inviting them to take part in its work, making posters with the information about the club's activity, starting the group "The youth's social health" in the social network "VKontakte" which is used as an information resource for the participants informing them of the planned gatherings and activities, helping students understand their need in acquiring skills of harmonious interaction; - meaningful-processing - lies in the approving into the educational process the Student Club "Compass", the structure of which is based on two programs aimed at the student youth's social health formation. The first program is "The social health fundamentals"; the second is the complex educational program "The harmonious interaction as the basis for social health"; - analytical-corrective - includes analyses and correction of the level of the student youth's social health formation. Approving of the above mentioned programs helps to increase the theoretical knowledge about the student youth's social health fundamentals, forming motivation towards the social health, positive personal qualities, stability of the social health values, social activity, civic responsibility, empathy, culture of communication, reflexive skills, mutual respect and understanding, the absence of conflicts and also helps to ensure the effective prevention of the deviational behaviour.
