Object of research - professional training of future social teachers in higher educational institutions; the purpose of the study was scientific substantiation and experimental check of pedagogical conditions of professional self-perfection of future social teachers in the process of training; methods: theoretical: analysis of scientific literature, synthesis, systematization; experiential: diagnostic (questionnaire, interview, testing, studying of products of educational-cognitive activity of students), observational (direct and indirect pedagogical observation and reflection of own professional activity); pedagogical experiment; statistical methods for processing the data; novelty: a novel, theoretically grounded and experimentally tested pedagogical conditions of professional self-perfection of future social teachers (reflected in the content of training of future social pedagogues essence and value of professional improvement, providing individual trajectory of development of student training activities and active learning, providing each student the freedom of choice and autonomy in the social-pedagogical practice); identified and scientifically the nature and structure of the concept "professional self-improvement of future social pedagogues", the structural components of professional self-perfection of future social teachers (motivational-reflective, personal, self-actualization, mobilization) refined the concept of "professional self"; improved scientific and methodological support of professional self-perfection of future social teachers; further development of the acquired scientific knowledge about the content of professional training of future social pedagogues, criteria, indicators and levels of professional improvement; field: social pedagogic.
