Koropetska N. Anabolic properties of 4-thiazolidones (experimental research)

The research is focused on a new anabolic properties of 4-thiazolidones - substances LES-2222 under conditions of food deprivation in rats. Experimental study of 4-thiazolidones - substances LES-2222 held in comparative perspective with anabolic agents - retabolil and testosterone propionate. We found effective anabolic properties of substance LES-2222 compared to retabolil and testosterone propionate on the background of starvation diet in rats. There was smaller body weight loss and internal organs weight, increased concentration of soluble proteins in tissues and organs of animals in research groups under conditions of food deprivation. The closest protein content to the values of intact animals had been found after application of substances LES 2222. Substance LES-2222 significantly increased activity of aspartateaminotransferase, alaninaminotransferase and gamma-glutamyltransferase, reduced triglycerides, unlike to the drugs of comparison, which led to a decrease in alaninaminotransferase and alkalinephosphatase activity compared to the index for animals with food deprivation. We also revealed the ambiguous impact of these substances on the activity of glutathionperoxydase and catalase in tissues and organs of rats in experimental groups and a strong tendency to normalization of antioxidant enzymes substances caused by LES-2222 administration.
