Essay

The theoretical analysis of philosophical, sociological, psychological, pedagogical literature that is dedicated to current problems in space of research allowed to clarify the essence of tolerance as an integrative moral quality of the person. This quality is based on the value attitude to others, to himself, to the environment, which is expressed in goodwill, responsibility, sympathy, empathy, tolerance, respect for others, regardless of their views, habits, character, temperament, nationality and religion; characterized by the desire to reach mutual consent. The structure of tolerance includes cognitive, emotional-valuable and activity- behavioral components. The study of features of primary school students' tolerance formation during extracurricular activity showed that the important role in this process is devoted to two groups of factors. The first group includes sensitivity of primary school age to tolerance formation (indirect psychic processes, an internal plan of action and reflection; increasing the mobility of the nervous processes, which allows you to change their behavior according to the teacher's requirements; development of volitional sphere; the predominance of the emotional sphere in the perception of others; capacity for empathy and emotional reflection; the formation of the stereotypes of moral conduct and activities; the ability to perceive social norms and express their position in relation to the world, people). The second group of factors is closely related to taking into account the potential of extracurricular activities in the context of the research problem (the opportunity of unregulated communication between the subjects of education and upbringing process; informal interaction between teachers, primary school students and parents; the possibility of purposeful work on primary school students tolerance formation; timely diagnosis of personal qualities formation; the use of various forms and methods of primary school students tolerance formation). The criteria (understanding of the essence of tolerance and its importance in people's lives, the tendency to empathy, tolerant behavior), indicators and levels (reflexive, situational, initial) of primary school students tolerance formation are defined in the thesis. During the experiment we substantiated and experimental tested the pedagogical conditions of primary school students tolerance formation during extracurricular activity: increasing the level of readiness of primary school teachers to the primary school students tolerance formation during extracurricular activity; informative and methodological support of the process of primary school students tolerance formation during extracurricular activity; involving primary school students into socially meaningful activities that are aimed at the tolerance expression. The experimental research allowed us to make a conclusion that theoretically substantiated and experimental proven pedagogical conditions have contributed to the efficiency of primary school students tolerance formation during extracurricular activitiy.
