The thesis is devoted to consideration of rendering of lexical and stylistic dominants of Ukrainian prose of the 2nd half of 20th century by emigrant translators based on a complex comprehensive analysis of German translations. It is established dominant features of the translation methods of I. Kostetskyi, E. Kottmeier, M. Ostheim-Dzerovych, A.-H. Horbach, and it is identified their contribution to the development of Ukrainian-German literary and translation relations. Comparative research of Ukrainian originals and their German translations made it possible to identify key features of the Ukrainian prose of the 2nd half of 20th century and methods of their rendering by emigrant translators, due to the formation of the creative personality of interpreter by external and internal factors.
