Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the development of comprehensive method of optimum foreship transformation. It includes the methodic of numerical simulation, the model of systematic hull transformations and the method of resistance decreasing. The method of optimum foreship transformation was applied to the researched ships and showed significant decrease in towing resistance. The results concerning one of the two ships were validated with the help of experimental research in ship model basin. The new scientific principle was formulated, wherein the effect of a foreship form on wave resistance is determined by dependence of the local prismatic coefficient versus longitudinal coordinate in relation to the length of transverse wave.
