The dissertation highlighted the problem of the formation patriotic qualities of young school children of traditional dance inextracurricular institutions. Disclosed the scientifican dtheoretical basis of the study; the approaches to the clarification of the patriotic education of the process of development of folk dance in the extracurricular institutions; features of folk dance and experience of it suse in the patriotic education of youth; lexical features of dance traditions of different regions of Ukraine; the structureof extracurricular institutions with choreographic direction and their experience with the formation of national-patriotic qualities of students; content and features to the training of future choreographers educational activities in the defined area.
