Sukhobrus L. Combinations of Juxtaposing Type in the Russian Language: Principles of Description.

The object is juxtaposing type combinations as polyverbal implementations of nominatems of "a word widened by depended full lexeme acting as componential specifier" type. The aim is determination of nominative status and development of structural and onomasiologic description models of juxtaposing type combinations in the Russian language as polyverbal word interpretations which are functionally and semantically identical. Methods: descriptive, structural and distributive analysis, analysis of vocabulary definitions, onomasiologic analysis, transformational and component analysis, formalization technique. Onomasiologic classification of the Russian language juxtaposits has been developed on the basis of basic nominative unit derivation - nominatems - and affirmation of two types of motivation availability - external motivation and internal one. Nominatem approach of description of juxtaposits gave an opportunity to determine polyverbal and verbal equivalents of basic nominative unit of the language. Polyverbal implementation of nominatems of "a word widened by depended full lexeme acting as componential specifier" type are subject to juxtaposing, nominalizing transformation, and lexicalization. They are divided into three types depending upon a system of processes aimed at their rooting and functioning in the language. The study relies upon the two basic approaches: approach of onomasiologic description of - juxtaposing type combinations in the Russian language and approach describing juxtaposing process. The developed models have been used to describe nominatems of "a word widened by depended full lexeme acting as componential specifier" type in the Russian language.
