Essay

The state of the problem’s development of leadership qualities education of future managers in the educational environment of the university had been analyzed. Based on the generalization of the works of the Ukrainian and foreign scholars, the essence of the phenomena «leader» and «leadership» had been defined. The concept of «leadership qualities» as a complex, relatively stable, dynamic personal entity characterized by a certain system of personalities attitudes towards people and themselves had been specified. The potential of the educational environment of the University in the context of leadership qualities education of future managers has been scientifically grounded and analyzed. The educational environment is defined as a multifactorial continuum, which has accumulated purposefully created conditions for the interaction of the subjective world of the developing person with its unique characteristics and the objective world of the institution of education. Its purpose and value are to increase its own subjectivity on the basis of finding a place for realizing his personal potential. Education of leadership qualities of future managers in the educational environment of the university is defined as a holistic process of necessary level formation of professional readiness for making managerial decisions and gaining experience of rapid mobilization of intellectual, physical and spiritual forces, self-regulation, change in the type of activity; the manifestation of professional and personal functions in the changing conditions of being. The criteria (personal-managerial, charismatic, communicative, creative), indicators (activity, self-confidence, desire for success, readiness for risk; reflexivity; professionalism in the decision of administrative tasks; organizational, communicative skills; empathy; emotional self-regulation; flexibility in behavior; creativity) and levels (high, medium, low) of leadership qualities education of future managers had been defined. A model of the educational environment of the University, aimed to educate the leadership qualities of future managers had been made. Its components are: the purpose; approaches and principles; functions; content; methods and tools. The organizational and pedagogical conditions of leadership qualities education of future managers in the educational environment of the University have been theoretically grounded and experimentally verified. They are the following: providing of pedagogical diagnostics of professional and personal development for actualization of students’ aspirations for leadership growth; activation of successful leadership experience of future managers by applying training methods; improvement of leadership models of student’s behavior and managerial decision-making skills in situations of group interaction.
