Object-matter: the process of raising the leadership position among students of the classical university; aim: the purpose: to increase the level of formation of the leadership position among students of the classical university by creating appropriate theoretically grounded pedagogical conditions in their educational environment; methods:theoretical, empirical, statistical; scientific; novelty: pedagogical conditions for the formation of the leadership position among students in the educational environment of the classical university were theoretically substantiated and experimentally verified for the first time (use of the innovative-reflexive potential of the created educational environment; observance of the optimal correlation between the pedagogical leadership over the activities of various permanent and temporary student communities and student self-government; ensuring enrichment of future experts’ experience in the manifestation of this position when participating in different types of socially useful activities); results: possibility of realization of theoretically substantiated and experimentally verified conditions for the formation of the student’s leadership position in the educational environment of the classical university, in the educational process of other higher educational institutions; developed and implemented: in the educational process of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (certificate number 0501-40 dated September 18, 2017), Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University (certificate number 25.01-01-2174 dated October 17, 2017), Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University (certificate No. 36 / 15-2802 dated October 25, 2017), scientific and methodological developments on the issues of forming the leadership position among students in the educational environment of the classical university can be provided to teachers, supervisors of student groups in order to use them in pedagogical activities, textbooks and teaching aids, as well as to students when writing Bachelor’s and Master’s theses.
