Thesis focuses on the generalization of the theoretical and methodological frameworks and on the development of applied directions for the activation of social entrepreneurship (SE) in Ukraine and on the assessment of its impact on improving the quality of life of the population, proposing guidelines for government policy to stimulate its development in Ukraine. The vectors of influence of social entrepreneurship on the indicators of the quality of life of the population for various spheres of its activities have been systematized, that has enabled to assess its contribution to solving socially significant problems. The quantitative and qualitative SWOT-analysis, and own sociological research of social entrepreneurship development in Ukraine were carried out in order to define and evaluate its strengths and weaknesses, as well as threats and opportunities for formulating the most effective directions for its development providing. The theoretical assumptions about positive relationship between SE and the quality of life of the population have been confirmed by empirical results due to the generalization of scientific and methodological approaches to assessing the impact of social entrepreneurship on the quality of life using econometric analysis. The mechanism of social entrepreneurship activation in Ukraine has been proposed, that determines the regulatory and legal, financial, economic, scientific, personnel, organizational and information support, and priority directions of its operations.
