Object - processes of formation of rural population’s income; goal - deepening of the methodological and methodical principles of forming the rural population’s income and development of scientific and practical recommendations for improving the regulation of the relevant processes; methods - analytical, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, statistical, in particular correlation-regression analysis, statistical and economic modeling of processes at the micro level, abstract-logical, sociological; novelty - on the basis of specially developed methodological tools the influence on the level of incomes of rural households on their socio-economic and demographic characteristics is established, which provides for the possibility of detailed analysis of the peculiarities of the formation of incomes of rural households; the methodical principles of the study of the processes of formation of rural population’s income based on the concept of balanced human development, the isolation of methods, ways and tools of influence on the level and structure of incomes have been improved; the scientific approach to determining the main factors of formation of rural population’s income based on quantitative methods of analysis of interconnections with the use of micro level data on living conditions, incomes and consumer expenditures of households received on the basis of sample surveys is proposed; a system of measures for the regulation of incomes of rural population at the state and local levels was proposed, in particular on the basis of more effective use of social responsibility instruments by owners of enterprises and the population itself; theoretical and practical results - the expansion of the content of the concept of "income of the rural population" is proposed on the basis of a more complete consideration of the role of economic factors affecting households; models of interconnections that reflect changes in the level of incomes of rural households, depending on their socio-economic and demographic characteristics are built; the methodical approach to estimating the level of shadow income of households has been improved on the basis of analysis of data from available sources of information and results of research conducted in the survey of rural households; the results of the research are implemented in economic practice.
