Essay

The dissertation presents a holistic retrospective analysis for the gender-related content of the textbooks on Ukrainian literature for the secondary school in Ukraine in the second half of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century; source base has been investigated, four contingent stages of the development of the historiography of the problem have been identified; on the basis of the sources systematization, the process of the gender component formation of the content of textbooks on Ukrainian literature for the students of the main school (second half of the XX – early XXI century) was substantiated; on the foundation of author's criteria, its successive stages were determined (I – the initial – 50-60-ies of the XX century; II – theoretical accumulation – 70th – the first half of the 80's of the XX century; III – modernization – the second half of 80 XX century – 1991, IV – conceptual – 1992 – 2009, V – research-practical – 2010–2015); tendencies (permanent, temporary, positive, negative) of the development were revealed; а gender-based examination of the content of textbooks on Ukrainian literature for pupils of the main school of the second half of the XX – beginning of the XXI century was conducted; perspectives of a modern gender-balanced textbook creation have been determined.
