The object of the research: Peasant crafts during the new economic policy. The purpose of the research: studying the development of peasant crafts on Kharkivschina (Slobozhanschina) during the new economic policy. The methods: analysis, synthesis, generalization, description, explanatory, induction, deduction; historical-comparative, historical-system, problem-chronological. Scientific novelty: the degree of development of the topic in historiography is analyzed; introduced into the scientific circle a number of previously used specialists, archival documents; the peculiarities of the development of peasant crafts on Kharkivschina (Slobozhanschina) during the new economic policy are highlighted; characterizes the activities of local authorities, concerning the development of peasant crafts; the stages of development of peasant crafts during the new economic policy are singled out; the specific dependence of specialization and placement of small-scale production from natural resources of the studied region during the years of the new economic policy was established and substantiated; the conditions and dynamics of the development of peasant crafts are investigated; the quantitative parameters of socio-economic groups dealing with peasant industries were determined, investigated and determined; social aspects of the value of peasant crafts are studied; the share of peasants in the provision of food and industrial goods to the population is determined; local features of entrepreneurial activity of peasants are revealed; a generalized comprehensive terminology device, connected with the specificity of the highlighted problem, as well as clarification of the content of individual concepts. The scientific and practical significance: the materials of the research can be used in the process of creating general works on the history of Ukraine, the history of Ukrainian culture and the history of the national economy, in research work in the study of the specifics of the new economic policy, in the process of training manuals , in the further development of the chosen topic. The documents and materials introduced into scientific circulation, the actual material and the conclusions of the research can be used in the educational process when writing lectures on the history of Ukraine of the twentieth century, special courses on the history of Ukraine, the history of trade, the agrarian history of Ukraine, etc.
