Shchukina N. Experimental study of gastroprotective action of dry extract from the above-ground part of broccoli cabbage

The thesis is devoted to experimental study of the development expediency of the new medicinal product based on a dry extract of broccoli aerial parts (DEB), and also of the combined composition pills «Famobrok» which consist of the DEB and famotidine. The screening study of antiulcer activity has been done and the conventionally-therapeutic dose of the DEB was defined using exudative edema models. It was found out the DEB’s antiulcer activity spread: analgesic, antioxidant, membrane-stabilizing, reparative and antimicrobial activities. The DEB’s antiulcer activity was studied also using experimental models of acute and chronic stomach ulcer in rats. It was defined the DEB’s effect on a stomach secretory and on a motor-evacuation function of both stomach and bowel. The acute toxicity and possible locally irritable action of the DEB was studied. The research permitted to originate combined composition pills «Famobrok». The Famobrok’s antiulcer activity accomplished study using models of acute stomach ulcer has confirmed its pronounced therapeutic efficacy
