Essay

The thesis is devoted to the development of theoretical concepts, methodological approaches and practical recommendations for the forming of the social responsibility of business on the market of food products. The evolutionary development of the social responsibility of business entities was studied, the theoretical approaches to defining the essence of the concept of "the social responsibility of business" were systematized and its relationship with adjacent categories was analyzed, allowing to identify the most important features of the social responsibility of business. It was justified that the main directions of increasing the social responsibility of the enterprise are following: the compliance with the requirements of the current legislation, the ensuring of merited and safe working conditions, information openness and environmental responsibility of the enterprise, implementation of social initiatives, and the usage of socially responsible marketing, which allowed to develop a system of the qualitative social responsibility indicators. The three-level model, which provides the low, middle and high levels of implementation of the social responsibility at the enterprise, was proposed. The methodical recommendations to improving the regulation of the social responsibility of business on the market of food products on the macroeconomic level were developed according to the proposed six directions: development of the state program for supporting the social responsibility of business; improvement of the regulatory framework; development of an economic mechanism for supporting the increasing of the social responsibility of business; creation of a mechanism of the state control over the implementation of the social responsibility of business; informative and educational work on the topic of the social responsibility of business; popularization of the enterprises practice in implementing of the social initiatives. Developed methodic recommendations allow to increase the quality of products and services, the level of the well-being and life quality of population as well as to speed up the social-economic development of the country. The methodical approach to defining the level of the social responsibility of business on the market of food products based on the usage of an integral index of the social responsibility of business was determined, which allows to increase the enterprise competitiveness and to achieve sustainable economic, social and ecological results. The methodical approach to increasing the social responsibility of business in the market of food products on the base of benchmarking was developed, which allows conducting the comparative analysis of the best Ukrainian and foreign practices on the market of food products to develop and effectively realize practical recommendations to increase the level of the social responsibility of business. The theoretic-methodical approach to ensuring the social responsibility of business on the market of food products based on defining the priority directions of its increasing by conducting the taxonomic analysis, choosing the systematic organizational approaches depending of the size, organizational and legal form of the enterprise was developed. The usage of the four approaches to the organizational support of the social responsibility of business was proved: introduction and compliance of the Code of Ethics; development and implementation of the Strategy for the Development of the Social Responsibility of Business; implementation of the systematic thematic training sessions for company employees; the input of the position of the Deputy Director for Social Responsibility or creation of the Special Committee.
