In the thesis the data substantiation was conducted in retrospect and a modern methodology for solving the actual problem of upbringing the value attitude to labour among the students of agricultural institutions of higher education was proposed. For the first time meaning of concept «the value attitude to agricultural labour» was proposed in detail. The scientific literature researching the problem of upbringing the value attitude to agricultural labour among the students of agricultural institutions of higher education was analyzed. Its criteria, indicators and levels were developed and substantiated. The status of the analyzed problem among the students of agricultural institutions of higher education was diagnosed due to the self-worked out experiment. The effectiveness of the developed model of upbringing the value attitude to labour was substantiated, experimentally verified and proved. The pedagogical conditions and the specifics of their implementation in the educational process to achieve the most productive result were determined. A complex of forms, methods, approaches and principles directed on activation of education of value attitude to labour was offered.
