Kurylo K. Pharmacological properties of new goat's-rue, blueberry and taurine phytopreparations in experimental diabetes mellitus, insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome

The thesis was carried out to screen new phytocompositions based on goat's-rue, blueberry and taurine. For the first time, the most effective doses and acute toxicity have been determined; mechanisms of metabolitotropic, hypoglycemic actions have been studied; peculiarities of the effect of phytocompositions and the preparation of comparison Arfa combi on the course of experimental type 2 diabetes mellitus, the formation of insulin resistance, and metabolic syndrome have been investigated. It has been established that phytocompositions have hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, anticytolytic, detoxifying, antioxidant, membrane- and organoprotective properties. According to the expressiveness of the pharmacological action, the liposomal form of the phytocomposition "Halevit" substantially dominates over the phytocomposition based on goat's-rue and the reference drug Arfa combi, which substantiates the prospect of the creation of a new antidiabetic phytopreparation in these pathological conditions.
