Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of formation young teens' information culture under conditions of secondary education institution. The notion "information culture" is substantiated and its structure is theoretically generalized and defined. The notion "information culture" it is a systematized totality of knowledge, skills and abilities, attitudes and beliefs, that allow to orient in the information environment freely and safely. The structure of person's information culture contains totality of the following components: information knowledge; informational behavior; information worldview; informational security. It is noted that for formation young teens' informational culture in the educational process of secondary educational institution is a focused process of systematic to gain of certain informational knowledge by young teens, skills and abilities, active learning of the informational environment, the correct orientation in information flows, active communicative interaction and acquired the ability to estimate of information by young teens. The groups of features the formation young teenagers' informational culture are selected and characterized: the features connected with transformation of organism of the young teenagers that condition the formation of informational culture; psychological features in the cognitive, emotional-willing and motivational spheres of development of the young teenagers that condition the formation of informational culture; features the formation of informational culture of young teenagers in conditions of secondary educational institution. Criteria are substantiated and indicators for formation young teenagers' information culture of secondary educational institution are indentified. The levels of formation young teenagers' informational culture are indentified (insufficient, sufficient, optimal), which certifies the duration and permanence of manifestations of indicators of young teenagers' information culture. The pedagogical conditions of formation young teenagers' informational culture, whose realization provides an opportunity the teacher to get a positive result in the process of formation young teenagers' informational culture, namely: - active involvement of young teens to gain information knowledge, skills and abilities and their use, based on their own and socially approved by information needs; - directing the forms and methods of extra-curriculum educational work in secondary educational institution at achieving tasks of forming information culture; - organization of educational work in the direction of formation young teens' informational culture in secondary educational institution based on the system-purpose approach. A comprehensive program for formation young teenagers' information culture in secondary educational institution "Journey into the world of information" is introduced and additional forms of educational work for formation young teenagers' informational culture are introduced too. The effectiveness of the technological support developed of introducing pedagogical conditions for formation young teenagers' informational culture in the educational process of secondary educational institution was proved.
