Essay

The dissertation seeks to assess the technical condition of M3 category (class I) city buses by fuel consumption. The method of the technical condition estimation for city buses based on the use of Schuhart control charts is proposed, with preliminary determination of the base fuel consumption by the specified methodology, which takes into account the peculiarities of operating conditions of a particular bus on a certain route. Based on the experimental studies the equations for determining the correction coefficients depend on ambient temperature and operational period for linear fuel consumption were formulated.
