Thesis is a complex scientific research of the urban landscape in the works of painting and graphic arts of the Ivano-Frankivsk region of the 20th — beginning of the 21st century. The urban landscape as a genre variety in the art of the Ivano-Frankivsk region with its artistic and stylistic diversity and figurative and ideological content expresses the ontological aspect of the interaction between the artist and the surrounding reality and reflects the artists’ aspiration to capture the character of the cultural space of the city in a certain historical epoch.
