Lynda O. Pharmacological study of phyto-medicines with hosta lancifolia (Hosta lancifolia Engl.)

The dissertation is devoted to the pharmacological study of tincture and dry extract from the leaves of hosta lancifolia. The new data about the presence of anti-inflammatory effect of herbal remedies from the hosta was obtained. At the stages of the deep pharmacological study, hepatoprotective properties of tincture and dry extract from the leaves of hosta lancifolia have been proved on the examples of the rats with tetrachlormetane hepatitis. The data about the cardioprotective activity of dry extract from the leaves of hosta lancifolia under conditions of myocardial damage with elevated doses of adrenaline was received. The scientific understanding of the pharmacological properties of these herbal remedies have been extended and their relative therapeutic doses, which can be used to create new drugs, have been established. The results of the research substantiate the expediency of the development of medicines based on the herbal remedies from the leaves of hosta lancifolia and substantiate the possibility of creating new hepatoprotective and cardioprotective agents of plant origin.
