Essay

The thesis presents the original research on developing career perspective of high school students of the city technology colleges in England. Based on the concepts of time perspective and career well-being the scholarly background for the issue of career perspective is outlined. The notions “perspective”, “time perspective”, “work-related learning” are characterized. Structural components of the career perspective of the English high school students (cognitive, emotional and values, voluntary prompt, activity) are determined. The organizational and methodological features of the educational process in the city technology colleges of England for developing high school students’ career perspective are identified. The effective forms and methods for developing high school students’ career perspective in the educational process of the city technology colleges are considered. The results of the comparative analysis on the problem of career perspective development of high school students in England and Ukraine are presented, the recommendations on the implementation of constructive ideas of the English experience in educational environment of Ukraine are provided.
