The dissertation is devoted to a comprehensive study and solution of the educational problem of the primary school children’s emotional culture as the most significant functional task of extracurricular educational institutions with artistic and aesthetic orientation, studying the conceptual basic of music therapy as a means of social and pedagogical educational impact. The issue of educational problem of the primary school children’s emotional culture was analyzed from the theoretical point of view. The structure of the emotional culture of children of the primary school age that contains motivational-value, emotional-thesaurus, activity-behavioral and evaluative-regulatory components has been identified and substantiated. It is proved and experimentally confirmed that the practical implementation of the education of the primary school children’s emotional culture by means of music therapy in extracurricular educational institutions is carried out with the scientific and methodical support that contains organizational and pedagogical conditions, a model, a methodology, and a diagnostic complex. A model for optimizing the educational process in the extracurricular educational institution based on theoretical approaches (systemic, cultural, personality-oriented) and a system of principles (general pedagogical, special) has been developed. Organizational and pedagogical conditions, methods of effective education of the the primary school children’s emotional culture by means of music therapy were developed and substantiated. The effectiveness of the developed scientific and methodological support for the education of the primary school children’s’ emotional culture was verified. Criteria and indicators of the primary school children’s emotional culture were determined. The levels of formation of the emotional culture of the primary school children were characterized according to defined criteria and indicators: stable level (high), sufficient level (average) and not stable level (low).
