The thesis was focused on the investigation of the anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties of the ointment based on the dense extract of Zingiberofficinaleby transdermal administration. The optimum conditions and technique of extraction of the fresh ginger rhizome were determined for the first time.The soft dosage form under the form of ointment that contained bioactive complex obtained from the dense ginger extract was developed for the first time. The high level of the anti-inflammatory activity of the ointment was proved based on the positive dynamics of changes in the morphological parameters of affected limbs in animals compared with the reference medicine – ointment with ibuprofen. Also, the study of anti-inflammatory activity of ointment with Zingiberofficinaleextract under the condition of its preventive application before the injection of inflammatory agent by using different models of the acute aseptic inflammation was performed for the first time besides.In addition, it was proved for the first time that pre application of the study sample of the herbal medicine (the two days before) was able to block the progression of the inflammatory process (by 15% compared to control and reference drug) caused by injection of allyl isothiocyanate and it contributedintensive reduction of the focus of inflammation during the aftertreatment. It was demonstrated for the first time that 0.05% ointment based on dense ginger extract demonstrated the prominent analgesic effect which did not concede to the efficacy of the reference medicine – Anesthesin (benzocaine 2%) by using models of experimental pain of different aetiology.
