Koval S. Psychological features of self-regulation of the personality of the preventive activity unit officer of the National Police of Ukraine

Theoretical analysis and empirical study of the problem of self-regulation of the personality of the preventive activity unit officer of the National Police of Ukraine were made in the dissertation. Self-regulation of the individual is considered as mostly conscious, purposeful planning, construction and transformation by the subject of his own actions and deeds, life strategy in general in accordance with personally important goals, motives for self-actualization, orientation of professional activity. The peculiarities of the professional activity of the police officer of the NPU preventive activity unit in the conditions of different levels of complexity and tension, which often requires personal resources of self-regulation, were analyzed. Theoretical structural and functional model of self-regulation of the personality of an officer of the units of preventive activity is constructed. The structure of the constructed model of self-regulation of personality includes substantive and procedural aspects (psychophysiological, mental and personal levels). The results of the study of psychological resources of self-regulation of the personality of the police officer of preventive activities are as follows: temperament, personality and character traits, motivational features, features of self-actualization and style features of interpersonal interaction.
