Essay

Modern society is emerging as a dynamic system dominated by rapid trends and powerful transformations. It is difficult for a young person to form a personal outlook in such a situation. The phenomenological sphere of youth regularly is a subject of intense external pressure from the information-civilizational space. In such circumstances, education should assume responsibility for the formation of an appropriate type of worldview of youth. For this purpose, innovative and humanistic technologies should be used in education and upbringing. The dissertation is devoted to the study of the relationship between the key features of the global society of rapid changes, the Ukrainian transformational society as well as the features of the formation of discourse of the worldview and value orientations of contemporary Ukrainian youth. The purpose of our study is to comprehend the philosophical, phenomenological and axiological content of education and the latest educational technologies in the aspect of helping a young person to adapt to the complex realities of a society of rapid changes. It was aimed to update innovative and humanistic technologies of education and upbringing as the basic mechanisms for shaping the worldview discourse of new generations of Ukrainians. For the first time for the domestic philosophical literature, such theoretical problems as existence of a person in a society of rapid changes, one’s competent preparation for such realities, as well as the potential of the education system to form an adequate adaptive worldview discourse are combined. It was possible to systematically study and analyze the key determinants and factors that contribute to (or, conversely), hinder the modern young person from acquiring the relevant worldview and discursive competencies for self-identification and self-realization in a society of rapid changes. At the dissertation text, it was possible to generalize the main features and contradictions of the educational system of Ukraine, which impede the real preparation of young people for modern social realities. The principles of analysis of axiological and ethical manifestations of attitude to the educational, national-patriotic, value components in the structure of the content of education in Ukraine have been further developed. The principles and guidelines for filling the content of educational technologies focused on the formation of personal and value competences in the context of forming a holistic worldview of students in a transformational society were studied. The author was able to substantiate the need to fill not only curricula with new content, but also the approaches of civic and patriotic education, which are especially important in the complex and dynamic circumstances of the modern Ukrainian transformation society. The necessity of recognizing fundamental changes and reforms like teaching in the new Ukrainian school (orientation of the educational process to the practical competencies needed by young people for adaptation and self-realization in the complex realities of a society of rapid change) was also demonstrated. The author has improved the categorical-conceptual and research-analytical apparatus aimed at conceptualizing education, upbringing, and self-education as key fundamental factors for the growth of civic-patriotic culture of Ukrainian youth.
