Komirenko Y. Development of the educational system in сadet сorps from the middle of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century

Thesis shows for the first time organizational and pedagogical foundations of educational system development in Ukrainian cadet corps from the middle of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. Is characterized content of training specialists in military educational institutions (military discipline, military morality, sociality as a dominant collective corporal upbringing, patriotism, conditioned on the one hand formation of loyal intentions, on the other hand instilling love and respectful attitude towards the native culture), particularity of organization activities of cadet corps (socio-cultural composition of pupils and educators as backgrounds of cultural, psychological, historical, social character for adoption of Ukrainian ideas; ethnocultural and living environment of specific educational institution based on specific for Ukrainian mentality respect to personal freedom and human dignity); is distinguished particularities of educational system in formation of cadet personality during researched period (implementation of concept of upbringing education; combination of severe demands and affection to pupils as defining feature educational system and pedagogical tradition; implementation of concept triple unity of intellectual, moral and physical upbringing). Socio-political, cultural public, scientific and pedagogical preconditions foundation and stages of development cadet corps, which functioned in Ukrainian provinces of Russian empire during researched period were clarified. The historiographical characteristics and sources’ systematization of functioning Ukrainian cadet corps from the middle of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century were further developed taking into account ethnic, cultural, territorial and regional features.
